Short version: be kind, help each other, and report anything that does not belong here.
Write to others as you would face to face. Disagreement is welcome, personal attacks are not. No question is too simple; everyone has been new.
Advertising and repeated self-promotion do not belong in the threads. Feel free to share your own work in Show and tell, with context and learnings, not as a sales pitch.
You can publish anonymously once your account is at least 24 hours old and you have 3 contributions. Anonymous posts show a fixed alias instead of your name.
Anonymous means hidden from others, not from us: the link between alias and account exists at Teknologikk, so the rules apply equally to everyone. Posts under an alias count as personal data, and you can request their deletion.
If you see spam, offensive or illegal content, use the report button. You get a receipt, and the report is reviewed continuously.
When reports from members reach a combined weight of 3, the content is hidden automatically pending review. The content is then kept or removed.
Illegal content is removed without undue delay, cf. section 18 of the Norwegian E-commerce Act. Anyone affected by a removal can request the reasoning.
Every upvote you receive earns 1 runes in the benefits programme, up to 10 rewarded votes per day. An accepted answer earns 50 runes, once per thread.
Rewards follow quality, not volume: posting a lot earns nothing by itself, and voting on your own content is blocked.
You can delete your own posts at any time. The content is cleared, but the thread remains so other people's replies keep their context.
If you delete your account, your name and alias are removed from everything you have written. The posts remain without any link to you.
