Saved setup in Claude: Projects

1. 1Sign in at claude.ai and choose Projects in the left menu. Click New project and name it. Also works in Claude Desktop.
2. 2Open the project and find the Project instructions section. Paste the base prompt from your pack and save.
3. 3Start a conversation in the project and paste your content. The instructions apply to every conversation in the project.
4. 4If you want one setup to apply to everything you do in Claude, it lives under Settings and Instructions for Claude instead.

Skills in Claude: upload once

1. 1Enable code execution: Settings, then Capabilities.
2. 2Go to Customize and Skills. Here you can also toggle Anthropic's ready-made skills on and off.
3. 3Click the plus sign, choose Create skill and then Upload a skill, and upload the skill ZIP from your pack (one folder with a SKILL.md).
4. 4Turn the skill on. Then ask Claude for the task in a normal conversation; the skill is picked up automatically, and Claude tells you it used it.

Skills are supported on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans when code execution is enabled.

ChatGPT

Saved setup in ChatGPT: Projects

1. 1Open chatgpt.com and create a new Project in the left menu. Requires a signed-in account.
2. 2Inside the project: click the three dots in the top right, choose Project settings and then Project instructions.
3. 3Paste the base prompt from your pack and save. It applies to every conversation in the project and overrides global instructions.

Menu names in ChatGPT change over time; confirm the location in your version.

Skills in ChatGPT

1. 1Skills in ChatGPT use the same format as Claude: a folder with a SKILL.md file (name, description and instructions), packaged as a ZIP with a single top-level folder.
2. 2Open the Skills area in ChatGPT (paid plans) and create or upload a skill. OpenAI also offers a guided flow where you build the skill in chat.
3. 3Ask ChatGPT for the task; the skill is picked up automatically when the description matches.

Apps in ChatGPT

1. 1Apps are third-party services (such as Canva or Spotify) that connect inside the ChatGPT conversation.
2. 2They are enabled from the app catalogue in ChatGPT and are different from skills: an app is an external service, a skill is your own instructions.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Saved instructions in Copilot

1. 1Open Copilot Chat (m365.cloud.microsoft, in Teams or the app) and sign in with your work or school account.
2. 2Click Settings and more (the three dots in the top right) and choose Chat settings.
3. 3Choose Personalization, find Custom instructions and click Edit instructions.
4. 4Paste the base prompt from your pack and save. The instructions are used in your chat going forward.

If you cannot find Personalization, your organisation has not enabled it. Use the prompts as single chats instead.

Skills and MCP in Copilot: how it fits together

1. 1Microsoft also has something called skills, but it is a different thing: they are built by developers in Copilot Studio, require a Copilot Studio subscription and tooling such as the Microsoft 365 Agents SDK.
2. 2Copilot Studio agents can also connect to MCP servers, but that too is developer tooling.
3. 3For you as a user this means: in Copilot you use the saved instructions above. The skill versions of our products are for Claude and ChatGPT.

There is no simple skill upload in Copilot. Our skill versions are therefore for Claude and ChatGPT; in Copilot you use the saved instructions.

MCP

MCP: connect the AI to live data

1. 1MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets your AI tool fetch fresh data from a server, for example company data from Brønnøysund or vehicle data from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
2. 2Our hosted MCP products give you a server address and an API key at purchase. You add them to your AI tool, and the tools appear in the conversation.
3. 3In Claude, MCP servers are added under connectors/settings at claude.ai and in Claude Desktop, and in Claude Code with the claude mcp add command. Follow the documentation for your tool.
